Home made

We are blessed to have several family members who are very talented in the areas of quilting and crocheting. We have a beautiful quilt my grandmother made, an afgan and cross stitch from one of Ehren's aunts and a quilt from another. So when Evie was on the way these crafty ladies started work on more beautiful hand made heirlooms. We have three quilts (one even from a lady Ehren has worked for!) and an afghan for Evie.

Grammy even kept dresses that belonged to aunt Erica and aunt Krisitn so her granddaughter could wear them. So taking tips from my sister-in-law Kate, who did Evie's newborn photo shoot, I grabbed the camera, quilts and outfits and had lots of fun!

wearing the outfit and bonnet that were Aunt Erica's
Patiently waiting while mom does all her pictures

I had the hardest time with the bonnet, couldn't figure out how to get it to stay on

Love her smiles! She is smiling more everyday!

This is the quilt that great aunt Janet made and the dress was       aunt Kristin's.

Sleeping Angel

This little girl has the cutest poses while she sleeps. Her hands are always up by her face and if she can't get both up she will usually have just the right hand up by her face.

I love all the pictures of her sleeping, she looks so peaceful. Though she is often making cooing and moaning noises which are just as adorable.

She loves being wrapped up in warm blankets and falling asleep on mom and dad.

She was even doing this during her ultrasound at 19 weeks!

Here is her thinker pose

She is also, thankfully, a good sleeper. She isn't bothered by noise so she can sleep almost anywhere. Getting her to go to sleep can be a challenge at times and every night is different. But that is the joy of parenting, lots of learning experiences while sleep deprived :)

1 month old!

She is already up to 9 pounds 8 ounces!

She holds her head up alot and is starting to put weight on her legs to stand. She loves looking at lights and the reflection of lights on the walls and pictures and is starting to focus on objects and people. She hasn't completely figured out yet that she controls her hands but on occasion gets them in her mouth and starts sucking on several fingers. Her eyes are still blue but have been getting lighter so we will see if they continue to change. She loves noise, especially low bass sounds. She tries to find the source of loud sounds or voices and recognizes mom's and dad's voices.

So excited to watch this little girl grow.
